High Altitude

April 27, 2010

For his latest series, entitled High Altitude, Michael Najjar traveled to the border of Chile and Argentina to photograph the peaks of Mount Aconagua. The resulting images were then digitally altered to resemble the rise and fall of recent events in the stock market. The comparison of this stunning but potentially deadly landscape to the high-risk acts of speculation that control the world’s economy is obviously particularly apt, given the current financial situation. Form and content, expertly combined.
