Daytum is a website created by Ryan Case and Nicholas Felton, which allows users to create their own statistics charts about their personal information. The site’s format is based upon Nick’s widely appreciated annual reports of his own personal activities, so the charts look very nice indeed. You can track any kind of data you like, though for most users it seems to be either a way of keeping track of how much booze and coffee they have consumed, or of displaying a culturally-rounded lifestyle (foreign language films and sushi); a kind of modest ego-trip. To get a proper idea at how it works, I set up a page for myself, though after uploading a minimum quota of ego-bolstering data, I’ll probably never touch the thing again.
