Artist Eats Fox. And Swan. And Corgi.

January 17, 2010

Artist Mark McGowan has forged an entire career out of publicity stunts involving stupid and often painful performances. He once pushed a peanut along the street from Peckham to 10 Downing Street using only his nose, in a protest against University tuition fees. At the height of Labour’s wrangling with the Countryside Alliance about the fox hunting ban, he publicly tucked into one of the beleaguered lupines, roasted. For other performances he has eaten swan and corgi in protest against the monarchy, and pushed a monkeynut from his home in Peckham to 10 Downing Street, in protest against tuition fees.
